Possible Connection Between Sugar and Flare-Ups

I haven’t posted in a while, because little progress has been made on my end. But for the past month, I have noticed something interesting worth sharing.

Shortly after consuming large amounts of sugar (around the holidays), chocolate, cookies, cake, etc; I experience major flare-ups. It usually starts about an hour or so after consumption.

This only seems to occur after large amounts of traditional sugar – alternative sugars such as stevia don’t trigger it. It’s an interesting find and I may explore cutting sugar from my diet to see what happens.
