I don’t know what I was expecting, probably not much – but I actually see improvement! Legions aren’t as bumpy, less “crusty”, and the skin almost feels normal in those spots I tried. It’s been about 7 days so far, using it daily. I’m going to go another week using the cream daily, then switch to every other day to see how it reacts.

Fluorouracil Cream for Darier’s Disease
Next up.. 5% fluorouracil topical cream.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8547006
My hopes aren’t too high, but it’s worth a shot. It seems like creams are more of a treatment rather than a cure, but I’ve got nothing to lose at this point. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Magnesium Results (Or How To Lose 5 lbs in 2 Weeks)
This should be titled “how to quickly lose 5 lbs”, because that’s what happened. Warning: magnesium chloride has a violent laxative effect! I can’t say it’s improved my Darier’s Disease, but it has had the (somewhat unpleasant) effect of clearing out my system.
I’m 2 weeks in, I might stick with it for one more week. At this point, I was hoping to see some improvements in the lesions.. it’s disappointing. Yet another “cure” that hasn’t worked for me 🙁
If you’re going to try this remedy, either for DD or weight loss, stay near a bathroom!! … Read More
Recap Of Things I’ve Tried to Cure Darier’s Disease
I was first diagnosed around 10 years ago.. in that time, I have tried many things. From prescriptions to vitamins to creams, nothing has truly worked.
The closest “cure” so far has been Accutane; but the side effects were horrendous enough for me never consider that as an option again.
So, to recap, here’s my journey:
- Isotretinoin (aka Accutane)
- Tazarotene
- Laser therapy
- Vitamin A cream
- Epsom salt lotion
- Neem oil
- Differin gel
- ProActiv acne cream
- Calcium supplements
- Vitamin C
- Naltrexone
- Calcitriol
- Gluten-free diet for 3 months
- Magnesium supplementation (in progress)
