Ten years and countless products, and I finally found one that works. Efudix cream, which is apparently normally used to treat skin cancer, has reduced the lesions significantly. They are smaller, flatter, and no longer crusty. From what I understand, Efudix works by changing the way DNA replicates (?) in the area that it’s applied. Since Darier’s causes skin to grow abnormally, I suppose this makes sense! I’m not sure what would happen if I stopped applying the cream, but I’m going to keep using it for now.
